 0/55  ST  Rode steamer at age 16 with her sister and brother in law. Got up early in the morning went to Sharps to get the boat. Long wharf. Had lunch on boat.Saw cattle and calves, chickens - very noise. Had regular place for livestock. Wasn't smelly - just noisy. Rode on the top deck. Got to Baltimore, stayed on boat and came home. Boat went straight to Baltimore from Sharps.

 6/25  W  Father was a farmer that raised corn, wheat and tomatoes. All the work was done with horses. Small farmer just raised crops for his own livestock and family.

8/00  L Farnham Baptist church was built in 1854. Used as a hospital during civil war.
