 36/00  SW  Hicks wharf - young Bobby Hicks would dive out and grab the bow of steamer and ride it in. This would make Captain Cappy very nervous.

 37/00  ST  Talked about steamboats - City of Richmond, Old Bay Line. Smoke not a problem. Different classes of travel on the steamer. Louise usually wore a suite - three piece suites - did not wear hat on boat. Sat inside as well as on deck. A great way to travel.

 47/50  ST  Black persons went to a different area on the steamers. - segregated. The dining room was segregated. Nice dining room, good food. Talks about the products carried on steamer.Had orchestras and dancing on steamer.
