This is the Model T Ford that William bought in 1915 and used in his early travels to the Northern Neck. The car's top is down now, during his trip to the Northern Neck, described in his story, the top was up and side windows were placed on the automobile to help keep the coldness out. There were no heaters so the riders had blankets to keep them warm.
